Introducing the 2023 Sportage Hybrid
What are the 2023 Rio Technology Features?
Sophisticated Exterior Design
The EV9 is reminiscent of current SUVs in the model lineup, representing both a sophisticated style yet one tinged with rugged features that ensure it’s ready to tackle whatever you need. It’s just a touch longer than the Telluride while maintaining similar height and width marks, giving you a great idea of the size of the vehicle. The unique “Tiger Nose”-style grille and its low-profile headlights highlight the innovative and modern nature of the vehicle. As a first, you can even personalize the animated lighting design on the grille. Shop wheels from 19 to 21 inches and receive upgrades on the GT-Line trim with roof rails, unique styling and more.
Interior Design Innovation
The interior of the EV9 is all about luxury and advancing comfort, and utility inside the SUV. A Colour, Material and Finish focus from Kia is brought to the next level in the EV9, featuring sustainable elements like non-leather polyurethane seats, fabrics and carpet made from recycled materials and more. Not only does the interior look elegant, but further promotes its earth-conscious mindset with no use of animal products to make the interior. The dual-level centre console is another highlight, lining the first and second rows, and providing convenient, secure storage. Both six and seven-seat setups of the EV9 will be available, perfect to adapt to your family and cargo needs.
Powertrain Performance
The EV9 arrives as the second Kia model to be made on the E-GMP platform, only using fourth-gen battery tech. You will be met with a 99.8 kWh battery and 480 km of range on a single motor set-up, while the dual motors produce 283 kW of torque vectoring all-wheel drive and a hearty 516 lb-ft of torque. Max DC charging is rated up to 230 kW, and can quickly charge with an applicable DC charger.
Connected Technology
Connected Car Navigation Cockpit arrives as the central piece of tech in the EV9. This quick-acting system promotes the use of Quick Controls that are easily utilized by swipes on the touchscreen. You’ll also receive over-the-air updates so that your SUV will always be up-to-date with the latest updates, as prime focus on software-based vehicles as they become more and more of a mainstay.
Advanced Safety
The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are further upgraded with some debuting add-ons on this model and on Kia models at large.
- Advanced Highway Driving Assist: uses lidar technology.
- Lane Following Assist 2: keeps you centred in your lane.
- Standard Highway Driving Assist 2: sets a distance between you and the vehicle ahead.
